The moment Leah stepped foot on a SUP, her world instantaneously took a whole new direction. Her 20+ years in the fitness industry as an instructor/trainer to participants and colleagues, managing group fitness programs, and directing wellness programs collided with her new found love for the sport of paddleboarding. Over the past few years, Leah has had the opportunity to put her passion for SUP fitness to work by co-authoring the Fitness Onboard® Certification© and co-creating the Multi-Purpose SUP strap which provides users the ability to turn virtually any SUP into a floating gym allowing them to execute strength training, yoga, and pilates exercises on their board. With the desire to share her passion with others, Leah is working in the SUP and fitness industries by collaborating with other top industry trainers in bringing top-notch education to SUP enthusiasts. Dubbed an education junkie herself, Leah holds certifications in various exercise formats including yoga, pilates, kickboxing, and more. She is a World Paddle Association Level 2 Teaching Instructor and an American Canoe Association SUP instructor. Leah recently opened her own studio in Pensacola, Florida, Seacrest Fitness Company, which boasts unique class formats including SUP fitness classes from bootcamp, pilates to yoga. Seacrest Fitness Company is a studio where folks of all abilities can come not not only exercise but improve themselves physically and mentally by stepping out of the box and trying something new. Originally from Augusta, Georgia, Leah, along with her husband and three energetic kids, have thoroughly embraced the YOLO lifestyle, sunshine, and salt water in Pensacola, FL.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTTO IN LIFE?
Ignite a light. Create a Spark. Pass it On!
WHO OR WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
I am thoroughly inspired by the sunrise. It’s a daily reminder that we have yet another chance to make a difference and another opportunity to be better than we were the day before.
WHAT IS YOUR GREATEST INDULGENCE?
Sushi. Given the chance, I can eat twice my weight in sushi!
WHAT WOULD YOU CONSIDER YOUR GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT?
Besides my three kids–my greatest personal accomplishment was completing the 31-mile Chattajack SUP race. I do not consider myself a racer, but set out to check it off my bucket list! The discipline it took to learn how to attack a race of its magnitude from the training to proper nutrition was extremely rewarding when I crossed the finish line.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?
I’m extremely laid back person! I feel most myself in flip flops, shorts and a t-shirt!
